Your friend might be excited about all the cool stuff and their older friend, but sometimes this could be part of what is known as “grooming.” Basically, grooming is when someone is making a person feel tied to them or preparing them to do things for them. Later, they might say, “I got you all this cool stuff and care about you, but now you owe me.” Or, they might say, “It’s you and me now.
